In regions near the Arctic and Antarctic Circles, normal astronomical signs that determine prayer and fasting times may partially or completely disappear. During the phenomenon known as the Midnight Sun, the sun remains above the horizon for weeks or months. During the Polar Night, it may not rise at all. Islamic acts of worship are traditionally linked to observable solar phenomena. Fajr begins with true dawn, Dhuhr with the sun's decline from the meridian, Maghrib with sunset, and Isha with the disappearance of twilight. دَائِرَۃُ البُرُوج دَائِرَۃُ البُرُوج دَائِرَۃُ البُرُوج زمانہ قدیم سے انسان مشاہدہ کرتا آیا ہے کہ سورج ، چاند اور سیارے آسمان پر ایک مخصوص راستے پر ہی گردش کرتے نظر آتے ہیں۔ حتیٰ کہ دورِ جدید کے  دوربینی مشاہدات سے بھی  اس قدیم مشاہدے کی تائید ہوتی ہے۔اس مخصوص راستے پر پس منظر میں نہایت روشن ستارے گڑے ہوئے دکھائی دیتے ہیں۔ ان روشن ستاروں کو قرآن نے بُروج  (واحد: برج)  کا نام دیا ہے۔ارشاد باری تعالیٰ ہے: وَ لَقَدْ جَعَلْنَا فِی السَّمَآءِ بُرُوْجًا وَّ زَیَّنّٰهَا لِلنّٰظِرِیْنَ (سورۃ الحجر: آیت 16) ترجمہ: اور ہم نے آسمان میں بروج پیدا کیے اور انہیں دیکھنے والوں کے لیے پرکشش بنایا۔ بروج ایسے ستاروں کو کہا جاتا ہے جو باقی ستاروں کی نسبت زیادہ نمایاں نظر آتے ہیں۔ یہ بروج تمام آسمان پر پائے جاتے ہیں، تاہم جو بروج سورج، چاند اور سیاروں کی گزرگاہ پر دکھائی دیتے ہیں وہ ہمیشہ انسانوں کی توجہ کا مرکز بنے رہے ہیں۔ قدیم  عرب، مصر، یونان ، بابل، چین اور ہندوستان  میں ان بروج کو غیر معمولی حیثیت حاصل رہی ہے۔ بعض تہذیبوں میں تو ان کی باقاعدہ پرستش ہوتی رہی ہے۔ اسلام درس...
