Santorini | 600 Earthquakes in a Week

Experiencing approximately  600 earthquakes  with magnitudes between 4.0 and 5.0 in just one week (Jan 28 to Feb 4, 2025) is an unprecedented phenomenon for Santorini (Greece), a popular tourist destination in the Aegean Sea. While minor tremors occasionally occur in the region, such a high frequency of moderate-intensity earthquakes over a short period is highly unusual.
