The Qur’anic Chronology of Creation

Image
Exploring the Qur’anic Chronology of Creation reveals a profound perspective on how our universe transformed from a single point into the complex world we live in today. While modern science focuses on the "how," the Qur’an describes creation in meaningful stages that highlight the purpose behind the heavens and the earth. This layered journey moves from the initial act of creation to the detailed shaping of the stars, planets, and life, finally culminating in the appearance of human beings. In this article, we break down these stages to show how the Qur’an presents a beautifully coherent and purposeful vision of the universe. 1. Chronology of Creation Allah Almighty says in Surah Fussilat: 9.

What is the difference between Hadath and Najasah?

Image
In the Name of Allah---the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. What is the difference between  Hadath  and  Najasah ? Hadath    refers to Ritual Impurity. It is the state of body in which a person is not allowed to offer prayers and perform some other acts of worship. It is an abstract noun because  Hadath  is intangible in nature. In this situation a person is not considered unclean physically but abstractly. If a person inserts his/her hand or other limb prior to washing, into some liquid like water or milk, the liquid remains clean. Though according to Madhab’s official position such water loses its ability to purify.  Ritual impurity is of two types: (a)     Hadath Akbar /Major Impurity  i.e post-sexual impurity, menses and post-partum bleeding (b)      Hadath Asghar /Minor Impurity  i.e when a person‘s ablution has been nullified. [Kashaf-ul-Qina’a, vol.1, p.26] NAJASAH  or FILTH  means the ma...

Author: Sajid Mahmood Ansari The deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy, is generally called abortion. Biologically speaking, the expulsion of a fetus from the uterus by natural causes before it is able to survive independently is also termed as abortion. [1] This paper confines to elaborating the legal position of  induced abortion , in Islam.  Islam, as a principle, protects life of the innocent people and prohibits any assault against the living creatures, particularly, human beings. The human life begins right from the formation of zygote in a female’s uterus. Islam not only protects life of a viable fetus but undifferentiated embryo as well. The Muslim s...

PIECES OF ADVICE FROM A MUSLIM FATHER

Image
In the Name of Allah---the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. PIECES OF ADVICE FROM A MUSLIM FATHER   It is a Qur’anic narrative from Chapter No.31, Ayaat 13-19: And ˹remember˺ when Luqmân said to his son, while advising him, “O my dear son! Never associate ˹anything˺ with Allah ˹in worship˺, for associating ˹others with Him˺ is truly the worst of all wrongs.”  And We have commanded people to ˹honour˺ their parents. Their mothers bore them through hardship upon hardship, and their weaning takes two years. So be grateful to Me and your parents. To Me is the final return. But if they pressure you to associate with Me what you have no knowledge of, 1  do not obey them. Still keep their company in this world courteously, and follow the way of those who turn to Me ˹in devotion˺. Then to Me you will ˹all˺ return, and then I will inform you of what you used to do. ˹Luqmân  added,˺ “O my dear son! ˹Even˺ if a deed were the weight of a mustard seed—be it ˹hidden˺ in a r...
