سورۃ الفاتحۃ

ہر پنجگانہ نما ز کی ہر رکعت میں سورۃ الفاتحہ پڑھنا فرض ہے۔

سورۃ الفاتحۃ

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

اللہ (خدائے برگ و برتر) کے نام سے ابتدا کرتا ہوں جو انتہائی مہربان اور  ہمیشہ رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

تمام  (قسم کے عیوب سے پاک) تعریفوں اور شکر کا حقدار صرف اللہ ہے جو تمام جہانوں کا رب  (خالق، مالک اور رازق)ہے۔

الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

وہ انتہائی مہربان اور ہمیشہ رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

مٰلِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ

جو حساب کے روز (اکیلا )مالک و مختار ہوگا۔

إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ

ہم تیری ہی عبادت کرتے ہیں اور تجھ سے ہی (اس عبادت پر) مدد مانگتے ہیں۔

اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيم

ہمیں (دین اسلام کے )    سیدھے راستے پر چلنےکی توفیق اور ثابت قدمی عطا فرما۔

صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ

یعنی ان لوگوں کے راستے پر جن پر  تونے انعامات کی بارش کی،  نہ کہ ان(یہود) کے راستے پرجن پر تیرا غضب ہوا اور نہ ان (عیسائیوں) کے راستے پر جو کہ راہِ حق کھو بیٹھے۔
